It's called a bump. A necro implies it's not off topic, and therefore perfectly fine. I don't endorse the rules religiously, but it pains me when people try to do that without even reading a little bit of them.

Nope. A necropost is a post on a thread that has been silent for a long while, whilst a bump is the same thing, but specifically for out of topic posts. Necros can be on topic, and if it's on topic, it's fine. If they're not km topic, they're a bump.
