Pyro fire crits are ridiculously OP
I play pyro mostly, its not that I'm bad, its truth.

Agree. I pyro main, mostly because countering rage-solders is fun.

Reported for trolling, and 45dps from Flaregun crits is not OP nor ridiculous. It's pretty weak.

Flare Gun at close range: 90 damage.

1 rocket at close range: 100 damage.

1 Sniper Rifle at close range: 150 damage.

1 Spy Knife at close range: 40-2700 damage.

Guys, Pyro is OP.

No offense, but you say that like crit rockets, crit minigun, crit shotgun, crit scattergun, crit revolver, sniper rifle headshot, hell even crit syringes are terrible.

Trust me, those flame crits won't be any effective when someone pops your head from across the map.

Sure, a flamethrower's crits are devastating if the enemy is in rage....


Keyword being in range. Every other crit (bar melee if it's a crit vs crit) is far, far worse.

Hold on. He is talking about the Flamethrower. You're talking about the Flaregun which gets 90 damage on a crit. And you reported him.

He said "fire crits" - that does not mean "flamethrower". If we're being literal, than Fire only mini-crits, at a weak-as-hell 8dps or less.
And the body of his post references neither of these, nor flares - clearly trolling.

Which equals 45dps.

i agree. i don't think it would make much of a difference if stock flamethrower didn't have random criticals. i favor the pyro and don't really care either way. it is nice crit flaming 3 people in a row.

90 damage every 2 seconds (Flare Gun takes 2 seconds to reload) is 45 dps.
