Here's some good/bad/bull news; the comics are indeed cannon.
Oh lord.
Valves new concept art for the Sniper:
"The Kiwi Cannon" - fires a projectile at enemies at deals damage based on radius. The more hats they have equipped, the more damage caused.
To my knowledge the comics were noncanon. It appears my knowledge was wrong. Up until this comic I've been taking the comics as canon, but #4... well, the post did say there was going to be plot twists.
Another thing, in the comic, Heavy speaks so proper. What happened to his broken speech? And Scout says Heavy doesn't talk much. That may aply to the comics, but in-game... why won't he shut up (everything he says is still australium [seem what I did there :P]). In-fact, Heavy talked so proper, I thought it was Spy disguised, until Heavy mentioned that Scout's dad disappears alot.

No further proof is needed.
Maybe his English improved through his time with the other mercs.
Good point, mate...
Well, I think it's interesting... I can never look at Meet the Sniper the same again, knowing Mun-dee's parents are not his real parents.
I have a comeback! He is not from New Zealand, at least not his in-game self. Valve also stated the comics are not canon. So, Comic Sniper is from New Zealand, In-Game Sniper is from Australia.
-.- Idfk know anymore
