Can't see my own text chat

THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED, I REPEAT THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!

Turns out you can filter what you see in text and I turned myself off, no need to use commands at all.

DON'T FREAKING NECRO!

When I use text chat, I can see what I am spelling out before I press enter but as I finish it isn't displayed in the text box, I can see other peoples text and they can see my own test but for some reason I cannot see any text that I myself enter, it's happening across multiple servers, I uninstalled and reinstalled TF2 and it stays the same.

If anyone has any idea what I did wrong the help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I was a dumbass, turns out you can filter your text in-game and I somehow accidently filtered any text that I wrote so I wouldn't see it. No need to use commands with being a dumbass.
