How Much Are The Mercenaries Paid In TF2?
I know they say the mercs are paid alot, but how much, and when? are they paid when the other team and other half of the Mann co. company are obliterated? or are they paid weekly, or how they do on their job? They all seem to either have high-end tastes or pauper tastes. Like Spy's fancy-pants-ness and Sniper's wierd pee jar and camper.

From the looks of their job, probably around 100,000 to 250,000 per 2 jobs or somethin'.
I wonder why spy buys all this extravigant stuff while the other mercs look really poor and they act like they don't have a dime to spare, though. It might be their personality, but it seems too fishy. They all seem to have barracks, too. So I wonder if they have homes or not. For all we know they're vagrants, asylum escapees, or rich guys.
Pyro to me looks rich:D

Some of them may have gambling addictions, or blow it all with Mann Co. products, but I would assume some of them, primarily Scout, considering his age, put the cash away for savings.
I'm guessing like $500,000 or something, cause it costs $400,000 to fire Heavies Minigun for 12 seconds.

Considering the fact that Heavy needs to feed his family, and that his Minigun, well, "It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon...for twelve seconds.", and he can just give out $7000 like small change...
Pretty damn well. Probably how much Bill Gates earns in a year at his peak in two hours.

Hale probably is a lousy employer as is evidenced by the comic lore, and his "And no I am not paying you for this" sort of gives me the impression that their job standings are somewhat pitiful but hey. Grey Mann did them SOME service by building his robots out of money. :U After that they became pretty much rich for gutting out bots.

In Poker's Night At The Inventory, or PNATI... For short... He mentions he collects old coins to melt into bullets for his Minigun. So probably a little less.

Heavy has a family to feed? Well, i feel bad for headshoting all those heavys that were only trying to survive :(

But i didn't think they'd GET money, because arn't they cloned, which is why there are so many of them? If you had to pay EVERY cloned mercenary, that would get expensive very quickly.

Well, time to break it to you guys. Get ready for the revolution.

Read closely at what Saxton Hale says.
The war is already over. What we are doing is trying (and failing really, really badly) to recreate the original Gravel Wars. Thus what happens in TF2 does not concern the actual original mercs.
