How to use gamebanana mods for tf2, like : re-skin weapons, classes.

Hello there who is reading this discussion right now. I have a little problem i am like 1 year in gamebanana already and i still dont know how to use re-skins for weapons and classes... If somebody know how to do it please leave a comment that explains how to use it correctly so you can enjoy it in-game.

Just curious...why "...like 1 year in gamebanana..." and you don't have the answer to your question?

If you watch a man put a ship in a bottle, would you ask someone else how he did it?

You have TF2 related questions regarding content from gamebanana...why not just ask them? Always go to the source first, if it is available to you.

And I'm pretty sure damn near every mod on Gamebanana comes with a readme on installation instructions. If it doesn't show up in game, it either
a) doesn't work
b) is out of date
c) Server has SV_pure set to 1.

I haven't ever attempted to contact them, because mostly what I've tried from there is maps. Installation is straightforward in most cases. Anyway, Batman is correct in saying that they usually tell how to install...and his points a-c are pretty accurate as well. [Never thought I'd actually be saying "Batman is correct" in conversation. That's one off the bucketlist...next up, need an opportunity to say "Batman, you are completely wrong! Robin, grow some cojones and support me on this!"]. Okay, I digress.

If you play on Valve Servers (the servers that you go on default when you go to Quickplay), the only mods that will work are custom HUD and some custom sounds (hitsounds and crit sounds are the only ones I know of). This is because all Valve Servers are set to sv_pure 1.

This does not apply to every server, most if not almost all custom community servers allow all kinds of mods to be used, or at least have some kind of whitelist of approved mods.

Yes, you just drag it into your custom folder. Don't play on Official Valve-hosted servers, or it won't work.

@Serious Heavy I did drag it but it doesnt work at all, I mean it doesnt look like how its supose to be... I have weapon re-skins models like a lot of em and class re-skin and it doesnt show up. Like its just the same blue and red classes

Oh, are you using the o.W.n mod? Don't play on Valve servers, or it won't work.
