how does the spy`s disguise kit work? (lore)
i know how it works in game, but how deos it "work". my best i dea is the lack of brains or awarness in most of the classes personalities.


my ideas as to why it works on these people are:
scout: dumb

heavy: changed from "dumb" to oblvious, seeing as he seems to have only concern for guns and sandwhiches

medic: smart enough that he should not be fooled

engi: smart as the medic

soldier: dumb

demoman: drunk

sniper: generaly inteligent

pyro: insane

spy: too smart for this to work

sentry: facial recognition?

so why do you think it works (from a meta perspective that is)?

The cigars are some holographic thinger that alter spy's appearaence.

Though, it doesn't explain the apparent masks that both teams see on their Spies...

Maybe he uses the cig and a mask just to be sure...?

Spies keep diguise kit in cigarette case - so it looks legit :spycon:

The old spy was able to use hallucinogene grenades to make people see inexistants threats
but considering the fact that disguises works in space and water it must be more like an hologram no ?

mask and cigar are actually australium devices that instead of cloak disguise sorta like in the meet the spy video when the red spy attacks the blue medic and morphs in front of him
only my guess is that back when spy used a watch to disguise himself
but it would short circuit/drain the cloak meter faster
so engy and him or someone designed a cigar that uses little australium to change
and the masks are just for added effect, painted by spy for spies

A lot of people think heavy is dumb for some reason, I think he just gets stereotyped as the big, dumb, fatty who runs slow and has the highest health.
