Team Fortress 2
Has TF2 ever had controversy?
Has this game ever been attacked by any politicians/groups/people? If so, I'd love to see, just to get a laugh out of it.

It seems Valve has done a good job at keepinn this game free of controversy. Meanwhile, Minecraft gets attacked for being 'too violent' in Turkey.

UPDATE: Just found this. Not a political thing, but it was an interesting article.

Violence is violent but we still publicly show it on television, how are video games any different?
well.... you see, we could split TF2 into 2 separate sections, the vanilla section (original valve servers, the game as is modless), and the modded section (custom servers, custom mods etc....)

technically speaking, the vanilla section afaik hasn't gotten any form of controversy other than troll sites/blogs deeming the game too violent (the fake christian moms against TF2 blog *now dead* comes to mind)

as for the modded section.... well since the content of that section is non-related to TF2 and therefore anything goes, the controversy that originates from there is mostly due to the modded content itself and not towards the classical TF2 as we know it.

long story short: nope, this game hasn't got any noteworthy controversy (compared to other FPS games out there) other than your standard flame war against X group/server/people etc....
nothing really intense.

Yeah I was wondering, did this game get any flak like most shooters? My answer know is nope. VALVe does a good anti-controversy watch, Either that or this game was never noticed.

"Perfectly balanced"

Still, the game wasn't noticed that much by certain people.

Only the most sensitive people who cringe at the mere sight of something pointy?

Exactly. I made this post just to see if people would really attack this innocent game.
