EDIT: That's my boy.
2.) Engage an enemy or set a trap somewhere you know enemies will traverse
3.) Press M1+M2 for traps, or press M1 while holding down M2 to airburst
Edited.
This is simple crap. Give me advanced stuff.

Anyways
Demoman is mostly about positioning, the actual m1 m2 part is pretty easy. Get in a good position and keep your ears open, and dump damage on the enemy combo whenever they're in your sightlines (or not - rely on comms to figure out where they are, and shoot stickies above obstacles. You're the only class that can do this, so take advantage of it). Rely on your teammates for self defense if you're shooting stickies, and remember that your job is to soften up the enemies so the rest of your teammates can have an easier time. If you're holding, just shoot pills at them around (or above, in the case of badlands and a bunch of other maps) corners to hopefully get some chip damage and be able to brag about your DPM stats.
If you can't do damage with your sticks for shit, your stickies are still denying zones to the enemy team. Keep them on the field.
Reading WARHUHYEAH's Demoman bible should help as to what you're looking for in terms of positioning.
This stuff is what helps, thanks! More stuff like this please.
Thank you.
There's an edit button at the top right of all your posts, which you can use.
