So just to make this clear...
I plug computer 1 into the router, create a server by clicking the + button on the tf2 menu
And then once I have done that I can plug computer 2 into the router.
Open servers click the LAN tab on computer 2 and the server I just created on computer 1 will be visible on computer 2 also.
No need for any extra stuff like an actual psychical server, 2 PCs and a router are enough..

So this is all I need to set up a LAN game, I am taking it as read that the other person was a troll, seeing as he/she is now banned :/
