Proof of Purchase owners, how do you value the hat?

I for one started playing after the free distribution period, but I received one from The Orange Box.
I personally love the hat, and I feel that it fits TF2's style (WWI era helmet), looks good on all classes, and the coloring is neutral yet bold for the color schemes. It's my personal favorite that keeps me at bay from pursuing higher value hats.

I had one when I got TF2 for the first time, I hadnt purchased the orange box, nothing with TF2 in it, and I suddenly got a proof of purchase... WTF (ok maybe I did purchase Portal 2, does that help)
