Since you haven't got any weapon drops yet, and you're new, I suggest you play Soldier or Demoman. These two are the offensive backbone of the team, meaning they get a lot of kills in direct combat, and they're very powerful with only stock weapons. Pyro relies on being sneaky, weapon-switching, or babysitting Engineers to be effective, and for all three you require unlocks to be more effective.
Meanwhile, stay away from support classes like Engineer, Medic, Sniper and Spy for the moment.
To each there own. Solider for some reason was a bit difficult for me to get ahold of. Hell, I can barely rocket jump.
thats okay i cant rocket jump at all
