Hello, it is me Kafinaks and I am making Another Crazy Discussion regarding the tf2 economy. This time I wanted to talk about an "Item Generator" Some people over at my TF2 Possible Scam have inspired me to talk about something that has been a hoax for years now, but it could become possible..

Item Generator? What?

An "Item Generator" has been a pretty popular hoax for a while now. Basically, it is a program that generates items for you and delivers them into your backpack, sounds cool, but so far nobody has been able to make one. Usually if you search "TF2 Item Generator" you will have tons of results, yet they are usually fake, or viruses.

What if somebody creates an Item Generator?

Well, a very smart hacker has been able to access the TF2 Item database and now can withdraw items all he wants. He then proceeds by making scripts to access the database and allow a program do it for him, this way whoever downloads this "Item Generator" now can get ANY Item he/she wants. But this will cause a catastrophic event that could ruin TF2 for years.

The Impact this will cause

Well, the impact on TF2 this will cause will be tremendous! Since anyone can get anything, this could really screw up the TF2 economy. Trading will be useless as items will start to cost less and less due to the amount of items people are getting, soon enough 50 "Earbuds" would be worth 1 Scrap Metal! Keys will be so abundant that everyone has at least 100 of them. This all will cause a HUGE Impact on TF2 and trading.

The aftermath

Well, Valve patched the generator and deleted all the generated items, but this would cause more trouble than it it would clear up. Why? Well a similar situation happened in a game called "Grand Theft Auto 5" Somebody found out a money glitch which allowed people to have billions of dollars. But when "Rockstar" (The Creator of the GTA Series) patched this exploit and deleted the exploited money the game started losing players. Why? Well because after each person got the money, they got what they wanted. But after the patch what they wanted got taken away so they quit the game. Same thing will happen here, if Valve patches this generator people will loose what they wanted and TF2 will loose a lot of players, This may cause another impact on TF2 and ruin the game for years.
