Would you STILL play TF2 if it would be pay2win?

Would you STILL play TF2 if..

1. you could buy a weapon for any class that kills a player with one hit (at any distance) for 20$

2. you could purchase boosts (15$ / 7 days per boost)
- boost 1; 30% faster movement speed
- boost 2; take 50% less damage
- boost 3; deal 50% more damage
- boost 4; get 50% faster firing speed for any weapon
- boost 5; get 2x bigger ammo clip
...etc

3. you could buy an advantage letting you to cap things 4x faster

...and other unfair advantages?

What would you think if you'd wake up and this kind of update has become?
After all, probably 90% of F2P FPS games are ruined with pay2win benefits. (not TF2 though) ;)

I'm sure a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of people would stop playing (including me and everyone on my friends list). Valve would lose so much business.

Also, they'd need to open a separate email inbox for complaints.

Eh. It's actually an interesting concept. Look at Saigns; that's a sliver of a preview of what TF2 would be like if this actually happened. Who would pay money to feel "pro," and who would quit entirely?

For your information, the big "S" community doesn't really run premium benefits anymore. Less than 30% of their servers have these perks, and most of them are trade servers.

Good point, but lots of free2play fps games ruin gameplay with pay2win benefits, not only some TF2 communities.

Nah. The reason for that is because they are free-to-play games and developers want some kind of profit from the hard work they've done. Hats don't sell so well in every game. Also these developers think that people who support them with real money deserve something much "better" and game-breaking.

If TF2 become pay2win a lot of people would stop playing and it would literally kill the competitive side of TF2. Would be the worse move Valve has ever made.

The reason why TF2 isn't pay2win is because the game doesn't need that kind of stuff. It's been around since 2007 and the game got pretty nice popularity when Valve launched it. That being said though, TF2 is pretty commercialized game, other ways than pay2win. All the taunts, economy, hats, miscs, mvm tickets, killstreaks, etc.
I'd say the reason why TF2 isn't pay2win is the community that keeps buying all the cosmetic stuff.

But the topic is that would you still touch the game if Valve would add P2W stuff.
