I don't understand why there isn't many "good" animation overhauls.
We've had around 18 years to create some of our most creative mods out there on GameBannana and the Workshop. And yet all I see is Kylul and Paysus's name plastered everywhere when I search up "TF2 FP Animation Overhauls" on YouTube. And when I do find a "good" mod that isn't related to Kylul or Paysus. They are either broken or vintage-looking, and sometimes very lazy.

Now I understand, making mods for TF2 is difficult. Animating in Blender is not fun and equivalant to animating in SFM. Amounts of Agony are experienced in between each second of animation production. I tried making one before and gave up 85% on completion due to its extreme difficulty. I tend to usually start a project and never finish it due to lack of interest on working on it. Which is fair considering the W.I.P's on GameBannana. Some are absolutely amazing, and some are just straight up canceled. Wdym your computer bricked and you lost all your files? I DON"T GIVE A ♥♥♥♥!!! Just because you bought a 10$ computer on Ebay does not mean you are obliged to delete it and act like all puppy eyes and sad clouds. I understand you can't update it anymore or struggle to get your files back. But just let it live, let it live its final moments before Valve makes a dumbass update and breaks your mod's coding. Ever since Valve told us a few days ago that they are going to give out the code to us modders(not including me), I have not seen one creative mod yet on GameBannana. But please, MAKE SOMETHING. Not including me yet again because I'm narcissistic and don't want to get my lazy ass off the chair. Wait is that why I don't see anything good?

Sadly true.
You don’t seem to know what the SDK update is. It’s mostly meant for Source mods, not mods that change models or animations. Someone also made particles and VGUI elements casual-compatible, which is pretty big, in my opinion.

There are also some animation overhauls made by Kiyoshi, N-Cognito, and Nadko. Gangsta sniper is also good one.

I think most modders don’t try to make animations since Kylul and Paysus have already created some excellent ones. Surpassing them is pretty hard. However, if you really want some good and creative animations made, paying someone to do it would be your best option.

Dawg, out of everything to complain about, why did you want to complain about a niche subsection of mods that only few people will have dedication to do? Keep in mind there's like a bunch of unlockables so if they want to re-animate all of the classes, they'd need to renimate all of the unlockables (Not all doe since some weapons can reuse the same animation i.e. Scout Pistol unlockables but you get my point)
mods for tf2 kinda died out when the official servers came out and had pure on

yeah there's workarounds of course but there's gonna be little interest in creating that kinda stuff when there's a bunch of hoops you gotta go through to get stuff working that most people are unlikely to do
The issue is that the vast majority of tf2’s animations are already good. It’s hard to overhaul something that doesn’t need to be overhauled, resulting in the vast majority of those mod packs being avant-garde flashy vision blockers.
