It's the end of the side plot that helped build this game's character design further than what's displayed in game. The game itself is a separate thing from the comics.

Yes, the game is separate, but if you look back in the golden era of TF2, updates and lore went hand in hand. It’s kinda hard to progress a games story when you just ended it. Of course the game isn’t literally dead, but spiritually, you could make the argument that it is dead. Also, I’m not people, I’m one singular person that’s sharing my opinion, not some “hive mind” thing, who says that?

The story of the "TF COMICS" is finished, which happens after mvm. You can still make more lore for the Gravel wars and mvm. The game takes place before the comics.

Valve could easily still make more stories with miss pauling replacing the administrator and the mercs going on missions. Or they can just retcon everything if they wanted, saying that it was the dream of soldier or something idk.

Update comics normally included tad bits of the story. The focus was still on the changes of the game and not the story. The "tf comics" spanning 7 issues isn't the same one as the update comics.

Everybody that plays this game doesn't play for the story. They play it because it's fun and the characters are very interesting. 80% of the fanbase probably hasn't even read it themselves, just saw it on yt or something.

That dude said the hive mind thing because people have said that tf2 is finished for years now. It's like a broken record. If it's finished, why are people still playing it to this day?

I would argue that Valve finishing the comic, shows that they're interested in continuing TF2. They didn't need to finish the comic at all and they decided to do it anyway.

The most annoying thing is that I don’t think a single person who’s commented has actually taken time to watch my 3 minute video. I’m proud of this video and then it gets crapped on by someone who comments because they assume they knew what it’s about, then the rest of the people spew the same crap because it’s easy. I was listing possibilities for the game, I quite literally mention the exact same thing everyone has been saying in the video, but no one would know that because why would I watch this guys video, it may go against my opinion.

If there is someone that is ignorant, thats the person who didn't even take time to wrote something meaningfull to their thread or title and blame others for not understanding the context correctly.

You just fell for the clickbait, the fact you called it clickbait and still didn’t notice you fell for it is wild. That’s the point, the title was intentional, except I was wrong in assuming the community would at least hear me out. I watched your video, don't worry. I just personally compartmentalise these things on Valve time. If you get anything from Valve, it means they're willing to do something. If they stop updating, then they are not willing to do anything. They never do announcements, they are secretive about literally everything, so ultimately them finishing the comic means they want to work on the game (probably).

The actual issue and counter point to my statement, Deadlock exists. That is their new Hero Shooter. That is their successor to TF2. That is most likely all we are getting for the future... Which I don't even personally like Deadlock, but that's just how it be...

I felt like with the comix this is it. There is no more story or what to go on. The game is great as it is. We do not have Jungle Inferno Strange update, but yehh. I am happy. It is gem of gaming - Falls into classic category of games. Next to Sim city or GTA, Sims, DOOM etc. I am still gonna play the hell out of it. Enjoy every fair fight. (Stupid cheaters with lov level profiles.. f hate them)
