Team Fortress 2
Scout x Pauling final comic opinion
I don't know how the writers managed to make the most anticlimactic yet the most satisfying ending at the same time

7 years waiting yet scout ending feels somewhat good seeing him happy, Close to his father and a good single father

Pauling MIA at the end kinda disappointing

I think it was mostly due to the pacing of the story in this final comic, I didn't really have many issues with how they concluded everything, more so in the way they presented the information. To me, it reads better as an 'end credits' after comic 6 rather than a continuation of the story.

I agree with most of the stuff, but I am curious if you were saying she wasn't in the final image making it a bit dispointing or you were refering to something else considering the title discusion.

I feel it doesn't make much sense for scout to stop going after her. Feels a bit rushed in that point. I mean he has been going for after her for 7 years and even rejected heavys sister when she was practically asking him to do it. So after all that time and like a couple hours after the last batltle(in lore), he just gives up. Bro was persistent for years and decides to give up like it was nothing in the end lmao.

He might be referring to Pauling rejecting him for the final time as well

I agree and it did feel a bit rushed. Not saying I didn't enjoy the comic. I loved Scout's and Miss Pauling's dynamic and I thought they were quite cute together. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't, especially with the events of Expiration Date and what they been through. I guess in a sense, Scout "matured" in his character accepting Miss Pauling doesn't have the same feelings for him. The main thing is that Scout is happy, he's a good father, and Spy is around to supports him and his family.
