Team Fortress 2
What does comic 7 mean for TF2?
Is it meant to be the end of TF2 or is it the developers actually showing appreciation for TF2?

Mate they're just giving a conclusion the the story.
Just because the story ended doesn't mean you can still enjoy the game.
Just go look at "fallout can you beat with only x?" type of challenge videos.
It shows how replayable a game is after you completed and went through it's story.

If you read the comic and been with TF2 with a long time. You know that love letter send off is heartwarming.

Besides it's better than the alternative... Nothing.

both, and saxton does leave mann co to a red guy and a blue guy to "sort out the details" of ownership, which does definitely sound familiar...
It's a long awaited comic strip... possibly finishing the arc of comics. But it is in no way an end for the game itself.

the comic ending left gaps for future questions to be expanded on.
miss Pauling was never shown.
what did she actually do with the australium left?
why did the administrator do what she did? was she just literally psychotic?
there is potentual for a future as there were stilll questions to be awnsered

Yeah but given that this seems to be the last comic its very disappointing imo. Feels like we could've gotten way more mileage off of the characters but instead we were left with more questions than answers.

What were Demo, Pyro, Heavy, Sniper, and Medic doing during the time-skip? We focus so much on scout and soldier yet the other mercs got nothing.

Does Engie know that his DAD OF ALL PEOPLE was likely off-screened by Spy? TFC engineer might as well not be related since it doesn't matter in the plot at all. On top of that we never learned what happened to the TFC medic either.

Spy still refuses to acknowledge he's related to scout (he is getting better though) and we never see him interact with scout's mom after that information comes out.

What the heck was up with the Administrator and her beef with the mann brothers Dad? What was her deal with gray mann like over the years? Seriously what was any of that about? Am i missing something?

Pauling does horrific acts for the Administrator but the basement corpse is where she suddenly draws the line and lets her crumple to dust? Besides the Turkey she sent at the end we know literally nothing about what she did after dumping the Australium.

We never see Olivia's reaction to learning her dad is dead or exactly how Hale got Mann co back. Just that she's now a teen who got fired by Hale and now living her life under his custody as guardian.

Soldier just living in an Australium cave all this time feels like a lazy cop out even for how dumb he is given how much the story was driven by it.

Feels like a holiday special update comic. Not the ending to an actual storyline. Haven't been ticked off at a game series not answering any major plot points since the Aether cod zombies storylines disastrous ending in Bo4. Gets worse the more i think about it and i think once the sentimental factor wears off for everyone they'll see how narratively disappointing this is as an ending.

I think it's pretty strongly implied she threw it into a ravine or something since she asks Engineer about one.
Not all questions need to be answered by the way. Sometimes it's nice to have the closest thing to an answer being "she was just extremely petty"

The comics never really had that much to do with the actual development of the game. This is just Valve letting the writers finish the story instead of leaving it hanging forever. Got nothing to do with game updates.

Yup, its about letting go. How scout let go of miss pauling. The scene between admininstrator and Zepheniah Mann was to show how we, players, keep tf2 alive for so many years even tho valve abandoned it. How we, with sheer force keep on keeping it alive for 14 years.
Its time to let go, tf2 is done.
