How to make preloading work

I want to use custom crit simbole in casual but the pre loading technique isent working

Custom crit symbols do not work in casual, even with preloading. Every other particle mod also doesn't work (crit symbols are considered particles).

i also tried some skin and its not working either, anything i can try

The skin needs to be casual compatible. Every mod before 2 years ago does not work. You need make it casual compatible yourself or ask someone else.

You can make a request on gamebanana. Some might do, although its fairly unlikely. Here is a guide to do it yourself:

Some mods/ custom content are disabled on valve ran servers, irc it had something to do over people complaining about some mods supposedly effecting the actual gameplay (I don't think it was true but it caused problems at the time with some people) only way your going to play with most modded content is on community servers

Most mods work in casual now. The only ones that do not work are particle, skybox, custom map textures and a couple more niche ones.

Yo thank you but how do I use it, i tried extracting the file or putting them into a non compressed file in custom but it dosen't work at all, what am i supsed to do
