is it possible to get deleted achievement items back?

A long ass time ago I deleted my directors vision and my headless horsemanns head I think I was like 15 at the time and now I'm annoyed at myself and want them back. Is there any way? Like gifting them to my main from an alt or does that not work anymore?

you can ask steam support but it's not guaranteed that they'll restore it

They'll restore special items like the handsome jack mask, the gibus or something of the sorts as a one-time thing. not things like a force of nature for the scout milestone items and such i believe.

Asked support specifically about the two items in my post above and they said so, heard that their support can be a bit iffy with things like that sometimes. So should I just try again?

Did you provide a reason when you contacted Steam Support? Back when I asked for achievement items to be brought back, I told them that I was F2P and needed that space for additional weapons.

I kind of wish they just made acheivments un destoryable, and uncraftable. Yeah I have a backvruner again. But something about missing the achievment version of it makes me sad

Yehh if you just delete it, then prolly yes if you get a really nice person from helpdesk and provide a valid reason. I know they said it is only once and they will never do it again. So, you have to be really sure. If you used it in scraps, then it is gone and noone can do anything about it. Those items are really special and someone who goes to drop server gimeall stuff and overflows inventory is doomed.
So please be smart, play the game as it was intended and you will get your stuff as you achieve that in the game. Trust me, this is the most fun to get it.

never used them in a craft I just deleted them straight up a long time ago for no real reason, like I said I was just a stupid child when I did it and it's a bit frustrating to me that I dont have them now despite it being my fault entirely lol

For all the people people looking to get their achievment hats back, unfortunately, Steam support no longer gives deleted items back (apparently due to ways players abused this) tried it in 2025 and met myself with "There is a verification before you delete the item so there is nothing we can do about it". From some quick research I done it seems that the only way to get SOME of the items is to buy/trade with other players for the tradeable versions of the item or at least similar version of it, word of warning, SOME OF THEM ARE SUPER EXPENSIVE, like HHH pumpkin head going right now for around 70 keys, if you need a Gibus, you can get a diffrent version of it called "Ghastlierest Gibus" going for around 1 key, it has 4 diffrent styles including the original one, not the same gibus but still something, I advise to check backpack.tf for items you want and if there are actually tradeable versions of them, otherwise tought luck and you are not alone, we all paying now for stupid mistakes from YEARS AGO
