Steam VAC Matchmaking Error

When going into matchmaking for TF2 I ran into the popup message telling me I could not connect to the VAC servers. I have done everything the link to troubleshooting has asked and nothing has worked. Does anyone know how else I could solve this?

ah I was worried it was an issue just on my end, something in the servers must've broken.

I got full access to servers after removing any additional content such as Huds and custom hitsounds. I have run into the problem of several sounds not playing (Mad Milk not splashing, hits from weapons does not play any form of sounds whatsoever, etc.).

I think the servers may be temporarily down, they should be back up some time today because I think we can all trust that valve wouldn't just give up on hosting one of their most popular games. I was also experiencing problems yesterday where it took way longer to queue for a casual on popular maps, but i think that was just me.

I've been having the same issue and this happened for me yesterday but today and yesterday I played on my other computer, and it worked fine.
