Graphic Quality's on Tf2

So basically I see a lot of spies and some youtubers who use some low graphic's quality and I would like to know what is the appeal of it, like do they do it for extra frames I just don't understand
I don't entirely expect anyone to respond but if anyone knows i'd like to know

Pretty much anyone who takes competitive gaming seriously will run everything at low and or install custom configs if possible that makes the game look way worse, the trade off being getting more FPS, which is actually pretty important for responsiveness.

oh well I usually play with medium to high graphic's because I am not that competitive

low gfx makes the game more readable

what do you mean by readable because the game just looks more pixelated than the original tf2 graphics

Less visual clutter. You see a room full of people and you instantly know what's going on opposed to more detailed games.

you don't need to answer this but if I wanted to use a lower graphic's quality do you think you could give me recommendations like maybe what can be medium or low
