It is a reskin of the regular flame thrower.

So it deals more damage than the phlog, and has the same damage numbers as the backburner.

If you want to use the Rainblower... I reconmend lightly delve into scripting. Why? The view model covers 1/4 of your screen and a script that hides the weapon when you have it out will help.

Yes, it's just the stock with a kill-taunt and skins. So, basically a straight upgrade from the Backburner and the Phlog, which are gimmicky weapons that are only good for and against noobs.

It can be good. With a properly timed taunt, you can give tele-campers a "pleasant" surprise.

Rainblower > Stock Flamethrower because of its kill taunt. Otherwise, it is the same.

It's marginally better than the Stock Flamethrower due to the AOE Taunt Kill, but the Backburner has decent merit for experts at ambushing (Detonator Jumps and Powerjack help) and the Phlog gives you Health and Crits when you activate Mmmph, so they're decent sidegrades.

As to one being better? Purely situational.
