3) Try new headphones/microphone. This really did work for me for quite a while, a whole game play, believe me it's worth a lot for me, beacause I was froze listening to the same sound for like 40 seconds. I hope that you can talk, I still can't.
Thank you for your reply :) I tried your suggestion, and it worked for about 20 minutes. I'm assuming it was my computer lagging up, so I rebooted, and "it" (your suggestion) Worked :). Thanks for your help mate.
Yes. I do ahve Windows 8 laptop. I am not trying to seel this device, but I am now using my Kinivo bluetooth headset, and it's working just fine.
I feel dumb asking but where do I go to fing these drivers and then uninstall them. I have 8.1 just let to you know.
I looked around in"uninstall program" in "control panel". Is it Realtek High Definition Audio Driver?
Besides that, try full-screen if you have it in windowed.
1. Copy and paste this link in your address bar http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
2. Click on "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)"
3. Check "I accept to the above." and click next.
4. In the download page, you want to click on "Global" for the corresponding system that you're running (32bits or 64bits).
5. Run the install program and follow the prompts, it might take a while so be patient.
6. I hope this fixes your "push to talk freeze" problem, it worked for me.
I thought it was something else at first, then I noticed that it happened every time I intuitively pressed Shift to run (I now understand there is no such function in Multiplayer). I checked the binding and saw it was bound to push to talk by default. I rebound push to talk, and lo and behold it still happens when it's bound to another key. I couldn't care less since I don't use voice chat, but it's still a bug that needs to be taken care of.
Have you check if your " Steam Settings>Voice and make sure your microphone and receiving volume is the same(max.)''
btw worked fine for every game after that
