Team Fortress 2
Disable Auto-Reload for certain class
So , I've been playing tf2 for a while
and i used auto reload everytime
but i found it annoying on spy's revolver and heavy's shotgun
is there a way to disable autoreload for certain class?

In spy.cfg and heavyweapons.cfg add the line
cl_autoreload 0
In every other class cfg add the line
cl_autoreload 1

I think you just have to make one and give it that line manually.

Yep, but make sure to make a cfg file for all 9 classes and put the other command in the other class cfg files.

Wait, so for the CFG files is it all the name of the class or are there codes? Is it heavy.cfg, demoman.cfg, spy.cfg or something else for all the classes?

The only one to look out for is heavyweapons.cfg. Beyond that it's what you'd expect, with demoman.cfg and spy.cfg and engineer.cfg and all that.

I'm stuck, I don't understand what you mean by "then put in cvar." What does "cvar" stand for? Can anyone explain the steps for me? What im looking to do is allow autoreload for all classes exept spy.

The steps were already explained in the very first comment.

OOF.
Just go to cfg . tf download a random ass config delete all the other config files except class configs. And here you go,you just get all the config files for free.
Just open them with notepad or notepad+ (whatever you have) to edit them.

This is the dumbest way you can possibly do it. You can literally just right click in the folder and create a new text file lol.

Orrr i can just go and download them from the internet without any effort.
Trying to make 9 different class configs while you can just download them with a single click is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

Yes right clicking is so much more effort than opening a browser, going to a website, going to wherever you download the files from that website, downloading each file one by one, going to your download directory, moving the files from your downloading directory to the cfg folder, and then opening every single file one by one and deleting everything inside hahahahahahahahaha
