Connection between Half Life, Team Fortress and Portal?
Hi guys. I'm really curious, as I have been looking on the backgrounds of all 3 games. I'd just like to know the connection between them. The world of Valve has always interested me, and it'd be great if someone could explain.

Thanks :sticky:

Black Mesa from HL is referred to a number of times in Portal/Portal 2, generally as a competitor to Aperture Science. AFAIK, TF2 exists in its own separate, slightly insane universe, although it's fluid enough that Valve probably wouldn't have any issues with linking it with the HL/Portal game worlds.

Probably gonna link it by finding the Soldier on the Borealis.

Why would soldier be on the Borealis?

Am I the only one wanting Valve to make a Spin-off of Smash Bros where magic Gabe portals open up in all the universes and all the people from all Valve games get sucked through and have to beat the crap out of eacthother?

The prize is a 3rd installment of their games

Portal and HL are in its own universe, but, as showed by the Bill's Hat, interdimensional travel is possible.

I know for sure that Portal and Half-Life are connected, but TF2? No.

No, Portal and HL out in OUR Universe. The effects of L4D are bought on by the nuclear war between Aperture and Mesa over the rocket launched in sd_doomday.

I don't think that it's like that.

Portal and Half-life are in the same universe.
In L4D universe, TF2 is a film.
