How can I make a current Backburner Strange?

I have a custom named and described Backburner. When I thought it would add it to be strange, I added the chemical set and now it Shimmers, which is better now. However I want it to keep track of my kills over the several months and this does not do that.

Is there a kit or anything that would let me do this? If not, why wouldn't Valve just add one as there are quite a few people, myself included, who would pay real money to just have it keep track of my statistics while playing with it and they are already doing this to other guns like the Bluntslauter for the medic.

Also, I would rather pay money for this Backburner to become strange, not screw around with a brand new Backburner as I already did work to this one.

Everyone trades for strange weapons. You can get a strange back burn for 3.33 refine.

You can't make it strange it could only be strange if you uncrate one,but that is a rare chance.

I'm not arguing but really? I had a kit to make my medic weapons and even the Floppish Physician strange. If what you are saying is true, why not this? Why or better yet, when has Valve ever done anything in a mediocure fashion as this would be? Also, how would others have a Strange Backburner if you cannot make one?

Oh I know, I just did a lot of work on the one I currently use though. I renamed it, redescribed it and unknowingly added a sheen to it thinking it would make it strange. To get all those parts back would be in excess of $10 so I figure.

You cannot craft one because then they wouldn't be rare and you can only uncrate stranges.

Its always been this way, they only recently added stragifies. Besides, its cheaper to get them from a crate than from a strangifier. You have to complete the chem set and all chem have random inputs. No one sells the good ones for cheap and the only ones on the market are the ones that require some insanely expencive stuff like strange gunslingers or strange festive 2011 stuff. Or you can buy the stange misc already made for about 1-3 keys for most.

It's easier if they keep it the way it is by getting strange weapons in crates and buying them from the fools nice people who try opening them in hopes of an unusual.

No really, I have a basic item turned Strange by using a "Kit" I have done so with both my Medic Gun and the Floppish Physician outfit. I just would rather use my Heat of Winter coat instead. But yes, I have done so by using a kit that I bought from the Steam Market for around $2 USD.

Ouch. Tough. I don't know what to say. Maybe you could try selling it and get what you can if you REALLY want a strange spec. killstreak backburn.

I prefer stock flame though, it fits my style and is better than EZgreaser

Eh, thats the price of tf2, you can waste paints the same way.

I replaced my specialized medigun sheen with a prof, had to eat that cost:P If its a sheen you can get some value back reselling it, not as much if its something that has a strange variant though.

I understand but for my playing style, I usually always flank and I hardly ever use my Combuster so I am a pure Backburner person. Still though from above, Steam does create "Strangifiers" for just this purpose and to have one for the Backburner would be extra pennies into the Steam Coffers.

Strange kits don't work on miscs. and the item has to be strange to use the kit on and you only have a vintage Backburner so you just wasted $2.

I think either you or I missed something, I am not sure who. But I have done just what I said. I took an ordinary Blutsauger and by using a Strangifier kit that I bought from the market for just a few dollars, I turned my PLAIN Blutsauger to a Strange one. Please look at my account to prove this. I did this very thing again with my Floppish Physician and it is now strange as well. (I stopped using it though as my Heat of Winter is much better looking and matches me better for what I want.)

All I am asking is the ability to do the same to my Backburner but I have since passed this idea and just bought a Name Tag and a Renamer to fix my RECENTLY BOUGHT sheen but SPECIAL Backburner to what I originally wanted in the first place.

These steps were completely not needed as Valve could have just produced a kit to do this as well but eh...what I want done is done and although I love my Backburner, lots of others hate it and I knew the Market would have what I want for far cheaper than randomising box openings with purchased keys.
