Any way to increase chances of getting an unusual?

I would love to have an unusual, and I'm sure as heck not going to pay the prices they're going for in the market. Are there any tips or tricks to increase my chances of finding one, or is it really just a matter of unboxing crates and crossing my fingers?

Don't quote me on this but I think it's 1%. But it's not guaranteed so don't buy 100 keys and 100 crate and unbox all of them and expect to get a burning team captain

Once again, this is going to be in the TF2 discussions... whatever.

If you are going to uncrate, get a crate with Gen 1 effects only or good hats (or Halloween effects)

Basically, that narrows it down to around 1-25, cosmetics cases, and the Gargoyle Halloween Case with some nice looking unusuals. All would pull in enough money if you actually got an unusual.

The new tough break cases has a blue all class. The patriot peak is called "an all class Team Captain," but it's easier to get. If you open up those tough break cases then you have a higher chance of getting an all class unusual, since there's more all classes in that case. Since blue is the most common, then try your luck to get that sexy all class.
