Scattergun. You miss both shots with Force-a-nature, and you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you don't have a pistol or BONK!.

Also, Scattergun is very spammbale compared to Force-a-nature.

Scattergun.
It's more reliable than the FoN.

Scatter. Although the knockback on Force-a-nature is amazing in MvM and ctf, and although it does the most close up damage, the scatter has alot more shots and alot less reloading. The knockback can be annoying at times as well, like when you're jumping around, land a shot, and get sent flying back. If this comparason included all scout weapons, I'd choose shortstop. It does twice the midrange and long range damage of all other scout primaries, alowing you to keep your distance from dangerous targets while doing alot of damage. That extra heal is pretty nice as well, especially when paired with Mad Milk.

Force if looking to 1v1 someone

Stock if more so I can spam shots

Scattergun because it has a bigger ammo capacity and deals more damage

FON for mw as i'm pro with it always getting super high and pissing off pyros.... But for genral purpose rather than trolling pyros, the default is best + #yeah i went into hastags (what am i doing with my life?)

I like the scattergun for most everything. However I like the FaN in tight spaces like you find on Junction.

When you blaze around that corner and theres a heavy in your face you can use the knockback to bounce him back from the corner. Then you'll have time to run away or time to reload and pop around the corner and hit him again. That and in tight spaces aiming is easyer anyways so the DPS is nice. You can own the corners.

The Scattergun is probably the best, but I like the Force-a-Nature more. You realy have insane mobility with the triple jump combined with the scouts speed. And when combined with the Atomizer...

Scattergun is better but FaN is more fun to use imo.
I´m quite good FaN jumper and it really seem to confuse enemies, probably because good FaN Scouts are somewhat rare species so people haven´t adapt to it. Especially abusing knockback and vertical FaN jump seem to cause most confusion.
Though Sodapopper and Winger can cover nice amount of distance and height but it is somewhat inconsistent, only when you have hype or Winger out you get the benefit, with FaN as long as you got ammo you can jump with it.

Necro time

FaN is better. Highest possible max damage for any of the Scout's primaries, and gives you a defensive measure, allowing you to knock Heavies and Soldiers away, and especially those annoying W+M1 Pyros, or just knock them off cliffs. I've tried switching between the FaN and the Stock, and I just don't do good with the Stock for some reason.

FaN + Mad Milk + Boston Basher = Total Havoc

If you're looking to 1v1 or fight against a small group of enemies, then this is op.
