Also, Scattergun is very spammbale compared to Force-a-nature.
It's more reliable than the FoN.
Stock if more so I can spam shots
When you blaze around that corner and theres a heavy in your face you can use the knockback to bounce him back from the corner. Then you'll have time to run away or time to reload and pop around the corner and hit him again. That and in tight spaces aiming is easyer anyways so the DPS is nice. You can own the corners.
I´m quite good FaN jumper and it really seem to confuse enemies, probably because good FaN Scouts are somewhat rare species so people haven´t adapt to it. Especially abusing knockback and vertical FaN jump seem to cause most confusion.
Though Sodapopper and Winger can cover nice amount of distance and height but it is somewhat inconsistent, only when you have hype or Winger out you get the benefit, with FaN as long as you got ammo you can jump with it.
FaN is better. Highest possible max damage for any of the Scout's primaries, and gives you a defensive measure, allowing you to knock Heavies and Soldiers away, and especially those annoying W+M1 Pyros, or just knock them off cliffs. I've tried switching between the FaN and the Stock, and I just don't do good with the Stock for some reason.
All of this ^
If you're looking to 1v1 or fight against a small group of enemies, then this is op.
