How to bind mouse button 4 and 5
I want to bind mouse button 5 to use voice command, but it won't recognise it, not even showing up. Help!

Either you need to put the bind in console or you need to actually have m4 and m5 on your mouse as m4 and m5 and not bindable special keys. Not sure which.

If you have a mouse with only mouse1,2 and 3 then you can't cause you need a mouse that has mouse1,2,3,4 and 5.

Do you think that since I have mouse 4 and 5 set as change volume outside of games, I would have to change that to nothing for it to work?

Mouse1= Large left button
Mouse2= Large right button
Mouse3= Scroolwheel click
Mouse4= Special mouse button that is not on most computer mice. Generally on the left side of the mouse (right if you have a left-handed mouse), it is usually beside Mouse5, which is normally to the right of Mouse4.
Mouse5= Special mouse button that is not on most computer mice. Generally on the left side of the mouse (right if you have a left-handed mouse), it is usually beside Mouse4, which is normally to the left of Mouse5.

To bind them use
Bind mouse4 "(desired command)"

Ya dude, it just doesn't register. Is it because I have it doing the volume? I disabled mouse 4 and 5 to do anything now instead of volume, but it just acts like A.) Mouse 5 doesn't exist
B.) I'm not putting in a legit command.

That most likely would be causing the issue. Yes you should change it.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
