Marked as a scammer

So today when i was on tf2 trying to trade and, one of my friends trades me and tells me that i am tagged as a scammer. From then on no one has even talked to me once they have joined one of my trades or traded me. I have no idea as to why i would be tagged in that category. I dont think i have ever scammed anyone. I really just want to have the tag removed so i can continue enjoying the game. Any help on where i should appeal the tag or why i was marked in the first place would be greatly appreciated.

ive never tried to scam anyone. what is even considered a scam?

If someone report you for being a scammer, Valve would then checked your history and stuff. If you got that tag that means you are qualified as being a scammer from the background check I presume.

no one else uses my account, but me. and the only type of trading i do is for weapons. i sell random weapons for 1 scrap each, and that is the extent of a normal day of trading for me.

the mark prob came from some stupid kid that didnt like the trade or they might of sharked themself (overpayed) and then went runnin to steamrep and cryed/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to them about it.

dont worry about it, i have had a mark for a month or so and it has done nothin to affect me tradeing

steam rep relly need to fix how they mark people.... like askin the person who there marking to give there side of the story

thats the thing though i checked steam rep and it says im fine. its only when i trade in tf2 that people tell me i am tagged as a scammer.

yer, steam rep might says your fine but still mark you. just look for any posts about you in steam rep to see why there may be a mark

just checked the forums and i cant find anytihg on me. is there some way i can just talk to a steam admin or something? or send an appeal?

you can seid an appeal if you want, but most of the time you get in more sh*t or just get thown to a bot that dosnt ancwer you (i tryed askin them one time, took me 4 months of back and forth e-mails to get a ancwer)

The problem is people abuse scam report. A few days ago i got harrasted by someone who posted everywhere that i scam people(thing i never did) and BAM now i'm marked as one.
