I don't really play Minecraft that much anymore, but there will never be a Minecraft 2. The reason is that there doesn't need to be one. Every few weeks they release new updates, they can keep doing that forever. And the people that already have Minecraft would get mad that they can't use their cool stuff they made in Minecraft

Also there was actualy a Minecraft 2 that they made for an april fools joke last year, only big Youtubers got it, and it had magic and horses that looked like pigs.
