What is wrong with bodyshots?

Ok, I have seen alot of people hating on the machina because it is easy to get kills with full charged bodyshots. But what is wrong with bodyshots? If you get killed, you get killed, so why does it matter how you were killed? Can someone explain why bodyshots are so bad?

Most of the people that complain about bodyshots are either COD Fanboys, people who think they're pro but still use "cheap tactics" as they call them or 8 year olds who are mad.

It's not about the bodyshots, it's about the people that make them. The idiots that stand in the back of the battlefield doing absolutely nothing, then getting a semi-random hit on someone unfortunate enough to cross their sight.
If they at least helped by assassinating important targets or showed their skill by getting headshots, noone would bat an eye.

I'm sorry, but the players bodyshotting with the machina are usually just these CoD fanboys who think sniper is a go-to class for new TF2 players. There are exceptions, no doubt, but getting randomly bodyshot by a Gibus with the second lowest score on the server is pretty annoying.

My best class is Sniper, I LOVE SNIPIN' HEADS! But if you body shot thats fun. If i play tf2 for an hour my usual headshot to Body shot ratio is like 20-30 headshots, 5-10 body shots, and like 8-12 ham kills! :D

You can also look at it this way thou: if a bodyshot is enough to kill your target, why the obsession with the headshot? You take the shot that is available, period. Extra emphasis on headshots when any shot will kill target, is pride and vanity overwhelming reason.

If you only aim for bodyshots, then thats just lazy, however if you know you can one-shot a class with a fully charged shot, then go for it. I personally bodyshot scouts, snipers, engineers, and spys if i have a fully charged shot. If I don't, then I just quickly aim for the head and then fire away. After all, if you are able to hit the head, then there you go, you just did 150 damage, instantly.

I get pissed at body shots because they can kill most targets in one hit when fully charged, Witch encourages camping, and lack of skill. I'd rather get killed by a sniper that hits a headshot on me every single time than someone who gets lucky bodyshots

The issue with bodyshots: Well, I have none, personally - a kill is a kill... if I kill that engie that keeps rebuilding a sentry by the last CP, or that medic that keeps overhealing and ubering that heavy that makes it harder to get past a certain way, that's all that makes me happy - trying to go just for headshots, as opposed to going to kill regardless of how I do it [so long as it is effective] is all that matters to me. If I were more coordinated, I'd be better at just straight headshotting, and aim for that caliber of perfection, but I'm not, so whatever.

So far as whether a kill is legit or not, I dun care - I do however care about hitboxes and such - being able to kill from being shot in the torso and head makes sense, but being able to outright kill from being shot in the foot is idiotic.

I have never had a problem with a sniper who has killed me with a body shot, it does however get annoying when 10 kills later they are still killing you by shooting you in the foot.
