Depending on the weapon its a 0.66% chance. Theres 20 australiums, each class gets 2 (exept demoman where he gets 3) but 1 australium weapon known as the Golden Frying Pan is the most rarest type of australium ever (Only 11 are found) & hasn't been identified in drop rate.

The Australium weapons are definitely rarer than old special botkillers, but I don't think that the chance of getting ANY Australium weapon is that low. If you're looking for a specific single weapon, maybe, but if you're talking about anything made of gold it would be higher. The horror and miracle stories of getting them never or often seem to be scaled down far past Unusuals, I've scarcely heard of anyone going 50 tours without at least one Aussie.
Me and one friend have 33 tours between us and nothing, but another got a Minigun on his first try. It's crazy I tell ya.
