What's funny though there's literally 24/7 hightower servers that play just like casual, except they remove the payloads out entirely, some even remove engineer as well to make it easier for them. Which you'd think they'd be all in on. But no, they often will make the claim that it's somehow different. What they're really telling you is that they actually enjoy harassing's the people who just want to play the game, their appeal is making people made for reactions and nothing more.
When I used to play regularly with my friends, we would start going medics and demo if they got too bad and just spawn camp them for the entire game, or until they rage quit from the match. Often saying "chill man, it's just a casual match. Stop being so sweaty".
This, Ster did this to harvest as well; such is the hold memes have over tf2
think of how far the spawns are away from each other
The same applies to 2fort and turbine, in general due to the difficulty of the cap points even the most serious of matches tend to devolve into deathmatch-esque stalemates.
I argue this isn't true for 8v8 though, I remember 2fort played way better on console as it was 8v8 due to the lack of players running around in such a small space and the same would probably apply to hightower.
Closest would be 24/7 Nuketown servers from COD.
But I do agree though that payload race and capture the flag seriously need a time limit.
