How To Transfer Files To VPK?
I found this cool re-skin for scout. But it's an older one made before the whole VPK custom thing was made. I know there's this thing that valve made that creates VPK files in the bin folder. That doesn't seem to work. There's 2 folders that say materials and models btw. Is there a program I need to use to turn these into one big VPK file or how ever. I just want the skin to work. Thanks in advance.

put the materials and models folders inside another folder

drag and drop that folder onto vpk.exe
it'll create a vpk

Idk if it worked, but it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my TF2. So I have to re-install it.

It re-installed pretty fast. But it didn't work. I wasn't completely sure if it was for TF2 though. It might've been SFM only. I have a couple more though. And they have a sound file in them too. As in voice packs I imagine. Do I do anything different?

I remember a program that could unpack vpk files, if that can't pack it back together, I really don't know. VPK is a proprietary valve format, so not sure if and how many programs for it exist.

Alright, well. I finally got it working. My computer's not the best. But it is fast enough to run TF2 very well. Thanks anyways.

I remember now, the tool I used to unpack VPK files is called GCFScape, though I'm not sure if it can pack them back together. Might want to give it a try if you haven't already.
