Team Fortress 2
How exactly does Pyrovision work?
I mean, if the Pyro engineered his own Flamethrower, and he had the Rainblower in mind, how did he actually have conciousness of... shaping the Flamethrower? And making it work?

Similarly, why is it that with Pyrovision Goggles, why can you still see kind of... murderous, weapons like Machetes and Shotguns without any replacements?

In fact, Pyro uses a Shotgun. If he thinks it's a different thing... say, something kind of like a bubble gun, how does he know where the pump and trigger is, much less how to reload it?

Also, playing Pyro doesn't automatically give you Pyrovision. And wearing the Pyrovision on Pyro makes his eyes look different.

So... what does this imply? Was Pyrovision just thrown together to explain the Pyro being insane without any explanation? Is Pyrovision not canon?

My thoughts on it might be that every set of 9 mercs is kind of like a squad. They're not the same people, I guess. I mean, that explains why everyone doesn't have the exact same hat. So basically, maybe the Pyro in the comics and in Meet the Pyro is a different Pyro than say, my Pyro and your Pyro. Also explaining why there can be 2 of the same class.

... Is there an explanation to this? Or is it like I said, something thrown together by Valve that makes zero sense?

It's pyro. Any logic you try to throw in its existence is as null as a Chuck Norris joke.
They should have an option to enable pyrovision on pyro by default

Simple. Pyro is a toy store. Toys mean money. Money means power. Power means 5 pounds of goat cheese. So therefore, you are a hypocrite.

It's very simple.
Pyro is Abraham Lincoln.
The pyrovision goggles were his unfinished masterpiece, which is why some maps don't have the pink and blue and white textures.

Wow. That's deep. But I think maybe I can shed a little more light on this. Maybe, each time a new player starts the game for the first time,a new squad of 9 mercs comes to life. The entire backstory could be a lie. The new (let's say, maybe clones?) are given fake memories of a past life and their "family" is threatened to keep it a secret from each one. The ones in the comics are probably the real ones. Or, going in a different direction, the original Engineer discovered alternate pocket dimensions and full blown ones, being loadout screens and servers, respectively. And in both, perhaps the versions of the mercs for each player are awarded weaponry for existing. For my first theory, they simply drop out of thin air. But for my second, they appear from an unknown "item dimension". What do you think?
