TF2 Depression [Vent]

I've been playing TF2 ever since it became F2P, and I enjoyed those years before the Gun Mettle Update came out. I had a lot of fun on community servers, and the maps that I've played were great overall. Ranging from Attack/Defense, Capture the Intelligence, Payload, and all other kinds of maps.

But over the years, TF2 has slowly downgraded for me, as has the community in my opinion. The community for me, has become like the community from CS:GO, and almost like L4D2. I join a server, and everything is fine, until I die or ♥♥♥♥ up. When I am almost at 100% Uber as Medic, and someone kills me, almost half the time, the player will scream at me, and proceed to votekick me. In which I get kicked out. If I fail to sap a sentry, I get kicked out. This has happened to me so many times to the point, that I have now realized, how bad the community of TF2 has become after the Gun Mettle update. TF2 has went from a fun and cheerful game, to a game of competition, in which people expect new players to be about 100% perfect at the game.

I've said it before, and I've said it again in the past. I still do get a bit of fun from TF2 here and there, but it doesn't happen as frequently as it used to. The new update has attracted players from CS:GO, and they kick anybody who ♥♥♥♥♥ up at the smallest of things. I CAN'T. STRESS. THIS ENOUGH.
What is the point of kicking players, when playing competitively? TF2 isn't about competition, it's about having fun with others, and not playing competitively and screaming at players for doing mistakes.

Another thing that makes me have a love-hate relationship with TF2, is that almost in every game of TF2, you'll meet someone probably at the age of 10 or 12 who uses the lenny face emoticon in almost every match. I don't know about you, but that emoticon is getting unfunny and re-used to death nowadays. I do chortle a bit, if the lenny face emoticon is used correctly, such as: "I'M A SPY, AND I'M COMING FOR THAT BOOTY! (Insert lenny face here)". It's just that it gets used constantly to annoy players to an insane degree, and I know, I'm not the only one who gets annoyed by the lenny face spammers. I hope it dies in 2015, and we can move on from that. -.-

Speaking of the lenny face spammers, I've met people, who barely talk with one another. I wish, that this game was more social. Isn't the point of TF2 to come up with a strategy to defeat the enemy team, whilst interacting with other people? I barely come across that nowadays as well, and TF2 was like that in the past. I don't know why people don't interact with one another, unless it's a specific event like Highlander. I've never played that gamemode, but all I know, is that nobody accepts me.

One last note... I just can't really find the joy in Team Fortress 2, unlike in the old days in 2012. And I just want to apologize to everyone whom I have hurt in the past... I never intended that, and I know, that I am going to have a lot of people saying in the comments: "You're just someone who is too fragile to play TF2, Grow up. (Insert lenny face here)" but here's the thing. I am someone who is grown up. I am 16, I can be mature at some points, and have fun in TF2 here and there. But it's just the community as a whole that has driven me away from the game, much like the Five Nights at Freddy's community, or the L4D2 community. But those are worse, than what TF2 is. If TF2 has a bad community, then the L4D2, FNaF and CS:GO communities are abysmal to be in, if I imagined that. And believe me, I've experienced the community for L4D2 and FNaF, but not CS:GO.

This was my vent on TF2. Whenever it comes to this topic, I always get sad, as I've enjoyed TF2 so much. And I still do play it, it's just the community that makes me not play TF2 as much as I did in the past. I hope, you can understand, why I am suffering this TF2 Depression...

Gun-Mettle has been out long enough now, even I stopped ranting about it.

We're sorry that you can't mute someone for yelling at you Oh wait, you can!

I have yet to meet anyone that has kicked me for being bad at the game.

This is a war attack/defend shooter. Yes, it is competitive. Though we can have fun on it, you have to compete.

Sorry that you've started to dislike the game after you played it for 3 years, are we supposed to perfect it for you?
