Team Fortress 2
Comics arent cannon
So I was reading the discussions page (as always, I have no life...) and I happened to come across a topic saying the comics aren't cannon with tf2. To be honest, I really hope that was false info, cause the comics are the best thing for a "story" in tf2(except roboboogalo and the MAC one). I mean if we look at the new video, expiration date, and the comics, there are a lot of elements, soldier's lead poisoning and stupidity, MISS PAULING. (other stuff including marasmus(look back to the bombinomicon comic of 2011 AND technically Australian Christmas 1, the director, with missing posters around doomsday, poopy joe, a whole map dedicated to the little guy, etc) I kind of do disagree saying the comics aren't cannon....but some of them are.

Also pauling ISNT pyro, look in the comics, she is with him, and look in the new video, you see pyro fighting the monster while pauling is making that bomb.

I'm pretty sure the comics and shorts are canon, albeit, non-linear.

If anything, the game is non-canon, due to being able to have weapons that don't exist until after the Blu team ceases to exist.

i'll assume you're talking about my thread earlier today, my point wasn't so much that the comics aren't canon with the game, i was just pointing out that the comics don't seem to follow the same timeline as the videos
well I could EXCUSE IT for being one of the many missions they did, after all, they are mercs, they kill to pay the bills

But in terms of time-line, the Blu team doesn't even exist at the later points, which the game has updates for.

Isn't the 6-part-comic the only one which isn't canon which valve mentioned before?

And those Robotic Boogaloo hats, which were from that non-canon comic.

All in all, though, I think the game's just there, while the comics fill us in on the world and other stuff that's there. THe game probably bends the general rules for fun as opposed to consistency.

Well duh. They're comics, not cannons. Can't imagine trying to fire a cannon made of paper ending well.

the comics are a big part pf TF2's canon, even if theres a few continuity errors. the TF2 writers made them. so they're canon.

It's canon not cannon. A cannon is a large tubey thing that fires large heavy balls.
correct, the comics are not a cannon.
