Which r_lod is the best to increase fps?

Model LODs only go up to 2. because you can only select from three choices in the Options.

0 is highest, 1 is medium, 2 is lowest.

okay, well in my config it says -5 through 5 are options.

r_lod is different from model detail, model detail is
r_rootlod
going from -1 to 2 with a higher number being a lower model detail

Model detail is lowered the further away from that model you are, whether it being a map prop or the character model

r_lod 2 makes the model render as if it was the furthest distance away, and r_lod -2 makes every model render as if it was right next to you.

The reason why fps configs use r_lod 2 is because makes the model detail lower than r_rootlod can set it to

Another usefull command is
lod_transitiondist
which is how far away a model is before the model detail is lowered.
