I think we can all tell how well thats going...
>Play on a server
>Be engineer
>Set up a teleporter entrance outside one of the spawns on 2fort
>Run back to the supply closet for scrap to make the exit
>Run all the way to the canal to set up the exit
>Something's not quite right about the texture of the wall from the distance. It's grainy and brownish.
>Look closer
>It's a spray of some woman in a tub, wearing a mask, shooting diarrhea onto her own face
>I am shocked, disturbed, and for the next four seconds, I am hyperanalyzing this image.
>Wonder why she's wearing the mask, if her back is hurting, what she ate to achieve the texture of the ♥♥♥♥, and ultimately "Why" did she do it.
>A spy kills me from behind, and taunts after he kills me.
>See this happen to two other players while I wait to respawn.
>Am left with more questions than answers on why someone would have that image on hand, and why everyone is compelled to stop running to see a woman blast her own face with butt mud.
There was a time when having the edgiest name and spray was the goal
Then open the workshop to artist that wish to create custom sprays that can be added to the store and purchased to use in game.
Since they have to be picked by Valve themselves to be implemented into the game, that means the likeliness of NSFW or offensive sprays will probably never be officially supported by the game. Re-enable sprays for casual, but still give people the option to disable sprays out right if they want to.
You can disable sprays by making material/temp read only
all we need is just an option to disavle decals like sprays or better they could just remove decals but that's never gonna happen
There is already a solution for those that are offended by anything imaginable.
