Team Fortress 2
Server List not Loading or "Server not responding"
Hi all,
I have a problem with TF2.

The story is:
Last weekend I upgraded to Win 10 Pro (from Win 7).
Since I did a clean install (I formatted my PC and then i installed Win 10), I did a backup of my steam games.
Once I installed Win 10, I restored my steam library and all went well.
All the games works included TF2 (it runs).
But in TF2, I can't find any servers.
If I click on the server list and I do a refresh, it says "no servers found".
Sometimes it founds a server or two but when I try to connect it says "server not responding"
Also happens if I use the "Play multiplayer" button instead of the "Server"button on the main page.
I tried to delete all inside the steam folder excluded "Steam.exe" and the "steamapp" folder but didn't work.
I have Kaspersky and windows firewall (yes, I made the exceptions in the firewall for the games and steam) but I didn't have any problem with these two programs on Win 7.

In fact if I open the developer console and i use the comand "connect" with the IP of a server, it works.

Any help?
Thanks

Right click TF2 in your steam libary (game list) Hit "properties" > local files > Verify game cache. Restart PC.

On your routor settings/modem settings goto the firewall and disable/make an exception

On windows firewall, disable/make an exception

Check the server join settings. Untick everything.

I have already tried this but didn't work.

You can also try this:
http://support.facepunchstudios.com/kb/articles/17-losing-connection-in-server-browser

It made it a little better for me, not perfect, but better. You can also choose an even lower value if you like.

Incredibly it was kaspersky antivirus that caused the problem.
I had to completely uninstall it to resolve the problem (suspending the protection didn't work).
