Are casual matches too one sided?

Your team is either getting demolished where getting out of spawn alone is a challenge, or your team is doing so well that you're not having fun due to the lack of tension

I wish the game had a way to rank the overall skill of players and to even out the teams, equally having bad and good players

Maybe by that there won't be so many pub stomps, but the party system will never allow for that sadly

I have pretty good matches a lot of the time.

They're awful.
No matchmaking at all, no limitations fro people playing in groups, no MMR system.
So you can find something like 2 playable games out of 10. If you're like.

Otherwise, stomp or get stomped in a few minutes.

And, after 4 years (since the "Badges" were added), Valve did nothing about it, of course.

um, the matchamaking system is fine? you barley get into bad games where you get stomped or do stomp, its honestly not that bad ;/

In my experience, yes. But if you play bad maps like Dustbowl, Powerhouse, and 2Fort, you're more likely to see hour+ long stalemates.

there is a hidden mmr fyi, but there's usually more heated matches on weekends.
