soldier shouldn't have it.
it is kinda situational,it is mostly good for maps where you can push your opponents to the wall.
as about demoman I really don't use it on him,I don't see how anyone could make it work for him,I wanted to know if someone has figured out a way to use it on the demoman.
Equalizer is probably worse ngl, atleast you can pull the zatoichi in medieval or smth.
Equalizer can work against demoknights with that 300+ crit melee swing and it builds uber.
the shotgun makes a great combo with the half-zatoichi since it both helps you defend yourself in close range situations and allows you to injure your opponents so you can finish them off with the half-zatoichi.
also the longer range of the half-zatoichi is not something to underestimate since it makes it slightly harder for people to run away from you.
also the worst soldier melee is the equalizer, most of the time you don't know how much damage you deal and it encorages you to get close to your opponents when you are severely injured and will probably die.(if it at least let you to 1-shot your opponents it would be a little better.)
This is all based on the assumption that the enemy lets you switch, walk up to them and swing without dealing 100 or more damage making the heal useless, if you are running 4 rockets + 6 shotgun shots couldnt you just, kill the guy instantly?
Using it on Soldier makes this thing too memey
Getting health and overheal with killing blows from it helps me stay in fights longer, and so I don't have to retreat as much.
It's great for Demoknight and Hybridknight, but I can even use it as a Sticky Demo. I just need to know when it's best to pull it out, like when a weakened enemy is pushed into a wall or corner. It also worked surprisingly well when I was practicing with the Stickybomb Launcher using the Booties.
