17 Pride Months of No Queer Representation in TF2

Today marks 17 years of no LGBBTTIQQAAPP2S++ representation in TF2. HOW MANY MORE YEARS must the marginalised LGBBTTIQQAAPP2S++ community put up with this? When will VALVe do something about this?

People say TF2 is a game past it’s prime but I firmly disagree. There’s a LOT of room for development and improvement, and part of that enhancement includes representation. There are, of course, many groups in need of representation, but most notably is the LGBBTTIQQAAPP2S++ community. For years the community had to put up with empty promises and placating remarks, but there has been next-to-no acknowledgement, let alone representation in the game. 17 years. 17 Pride Months passing by without even a head nod from the TF2 dev team.

But of course there has been pushback by myself and others, campaigning for the righteous cause. People complain about the bots but how do you know the bots aren’t silently protesting for the lack of LGBBTTIQQAAPP2S++ representation? I believe the change will come, eventually.

I’m sure people will respond with “bait” and other remarks trying to push down our movement, but we won’t back down. VALVe's silence on the matter only strengthens us. Together we will achieve LGBBTTIQQAAPP2S++ representation in TF2.

in 2016, we also got the meet your match update, which some say might've ruined tf2 forever, but i don't feel like delving in to that but it was definitely a big year for tf2 to say the least with such a big update like that
