Bug - Thermal Thruster Contract stuck on screen as 'completed'

Over a year ago now (or more) I decided to the Thermal Thruster contract for Pyroland. I completed the main objective (deciding that I didn't really want to do the bonus objectives), redeeming the contract, received my Thermal Thruster (along with another one from a random drop or achievement, which I later used in scrap metal crafting, leaving the reward one for use.)
However, [Context: I use the default hud on minimal mode]; the not to large but not exactly small white text and progress bar saying
"The Thermal Thruster - Complete"
remained. I didn't think much of it, and eventually stopped playing during May 2023.
I come back and start playing TF2 halfway through this year; and *it's still there.*
I have no interest in continuing contracts. I can't redo or redeem it because I already have the item for it and it's ""completed."" I have gone on a hunt through Reddit and Steam Forums. People have had similar but not the same problem.
None of the so-far suggested solutions have been of any help. I can't 'deactivate' the Contracts. There are no options in normal or advanced settings [despite some claims], I can't get rid of it, and it's perpetually just above the middle right of my screen on EVERY CLASS and has been for over a year, maybe nearing two years now.
Does anyone know if I can actually get rid of it without having to try and do the bonus objective on the, mind you, as aforementioned, *already technically completed and redeemed* contract?

Is there no mention of "contracts ui" under the HUD section in advanced options?
There should be two toggles for it, one for regular matches, one for competitive matches.
You should be able to select 3 options in the drop down menu, the first one being just disabling the ui element.
Surely you have tried the following console command:

tf_contract_progress_show 0

Weirdly enough, that option does nothing for me.
It doesn't show my last completed contract, it just shows nothing.
So there should be a way to remove it in another way.

Despite asking against it, why not do the bonus objective anyways?
You completed the main objective, but not the whole contract, it's not fully completed after all.
Maybe it will go away after completing it fully!
