Got hacked and lost all my items
Recently my steam account got hacked while I was locked out the hacker move all my tf2 items and steam inventory to his account, i already report it to steam about my problem but many people said that steam is very strict with their trade policy and might not give any help. What do I do? It's been a full day since I reported usually they respond quickly

How did this even happen?
Unfortunately, you can't do much, except learn from it, report the scammer, and move on.

My only advice is revoke the api key, change your password and don't log into phishing sites next time

https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
This is for the API key, by the way. If there is one, revoke it.

Yeah, Steam and Valve don't really care about this. It's stupid unlikely you'll get your items back sadly :/

Actually, valve did cared about it in the beginning and always helped people who got their items stolen, They stopped recovering them because of 2 reasons
1: People became very neglegand about their items and their account security because they knew that no matter what valve will step in and recover whatever was lost.
2: People start abusing it in their favor to duplicate expensive items(sold the stolen items and get them back through the support(valve actually just duplicated the items that was stolen and usualy didnt removed the actual stolen one)
Valve should put like a massive sign or warning about all the scam attempts before accepting the TOS, new Steam users will never know about this until they lost everything.

You won't receive any of your stolen items, a bitter pill to swallow but thats the fact. Chances are the account you reported is an alt and Steam will be keeping an eye on it to ban the main as well. In the future please be careful when it comes to clicking links strangers send you as many steal your Steam API when you log into these phish pages.

Do you know why someone was able to hijack your account in the first place?

From my experience, so there's this guy in my tf2 server and he send me friend request so I accept, we've been friends for a while like 3 months and then one day he chat me and said "hi what's your fav game?" I replied Gmod, Half life and Fallout new Vegas and he said "oh mine is tf2, can you do a favor for me? So there's this competition where other clan competes with others and the winner will win $200,000 . *He send me a pic of the clan and asked me to vote for his clan to win* then he said I don't have any money rn but if we win Ill give you 20 keys.

I was like I have nothing to lose so I click the link he gave me and i have to sign up like the website is actually connected to steam, so I did it and then 2 days later I lost my account... I was panicked and the first thing comes to my head was that stupid link and I sat there regretting my act

That same night I contact steam support to get back my acc and I did by tomorrow morning BUT when I check my tf2 and steam inventory I lost everything... So that's the only scam I know so what are the others?
