So... is Mvm Pay to play?

Hopefully this isn't a spammed question but is MvM pay to play? I thought it's a nice little F2P option of getting weapons and accessories?

It's not pay to play; it's pay to get weapons and accessories. You can play boot camp for free.

I recommend potato.tf and pineapple.tf for good free mvm servers. Its more fun than official mvm imo

No not really, you can still play bootcamp and community mvm (which I recommend)

You can play a f2p version
But you don't get any rewards out of it.

And you can take part in a tour of duty. For that you have to buy tickets. At the end of each tour. You get rewarded with, well some stuff.
And if you are lucky you get an aussie or a golden frying pan

When i used to played mvm - i quickly gave up on winning anything good from mvm matches. At the end of the match i disconnect seconds before we win - this way ticket dont get consumed and i can play as much as i want without shilling to volvo. I adviced against playing in bootcamp, its hell.

In addition to what others have said, is worth noting that the downside to playing free mvm (bootcamp) is that you're team will usually consist of a bunch of bums, half of which will leave the server mid wave.

The standard is higher in mann up since people actually pay for it.
