Should F2Ps get chat rights back?
I think that with bot problem mostly fixed, it would be all right to give F2P players back the ability to talk/write. If not in voice chat, they should at least be able to write in text chat or use voice commands to communicate.

For all intents and purposes, I would go with yes because it used to be this way before the cheater/bot crisis and it should go back to this way after the crisis has started its cure process by VALVE.

We already have the inability of trading tied to the F2Ps and it works as a good encouragement to pay for the full feature set. No chat though? It's a harsh force that is just a bandaid that can discourage players from playing and paying for this game.

People simply don't realize how kids make for the greatest moments in voice chat.
like what? blasting your damn eardrums? no thank you i dont plan on losing my hearing anytime soon...
One of my oldest memories in TF2 is a kid talking normally a lot, then suddenly yelling "SPY SPY SPY" in sheer panic. It happened on an Orange server that has been shut down long ago. I think I know exactly where I stood when I heard that kid. It shouldn't be anything special, yet it remains one of my greatest memories, as shown by the amount of detail.

Also, they are generally fun to troll, and things can get really funny if you tease them. Not that I trolled kids a lot, but I had plenty of laughs from others doing the trolling.

the voice commands never should have been tied to chat restrictions. like at all. not being able to call for medic or tell your team you saw a spy with a PRE-WRITTEN MESSAGE! just cause bots spammed slurs (and they continued to do so after the change cause premium is like 5 bucks) is dumber than valve's knockoff hearthstone game

I'm still wondering how voice commands haven't been re-enabled shortly after the F2P mute considering how harmless it is. Meanwhile, voice chat was still available to F2P's for bots to freely micspam in the very early days of the chat restrictions.

Also, don't trashtalk Artifact like that. You know that it's an immaculate game.
At least let them use the ingame voicelines ffs
This doesn't affect me so no.

no because of the power they have to drop some unhinged sounds
Hello, fellow P2Ps. I too think that F2ps should be able to talk in chat.

1: why did they tie voice commands to chat restrictions anyway? what are the bots gonna do? spam medic in chat? whats that gonna do? i dont think valve was thinking clearly when they did this

2: i feel like voice commands have always been a workaround if you dont have actual access to chat
im going to say no for 1 reason

how many times have we had bot invasions? i doubt that theyre gone for good, we're just getting a break from them.

brother in christ the system is USELESS
the bots literally got premium accounts and continued to spam in chat
Personally i don't think anyone who plays tf2 should have rights
text and voice commands, yes

voice chat, no

roblox has taught me that giving small children voice chat is a bad idea
no because contrarianism/trolling/funny/whatever

objectively though, no reason not to unless you believe f2ps being muted leads to community servers being more populated (in theory it could, but I've yet to see any data directly supporting that)
