-the Sniper After shooting in the head a brass Beast heavy revved up
Stop doing anything useful
Eat chocolate
Hope someone walks in after eating chocolate, but before it runs out
Don't rev up because its loud and would fail as an ambush
Wait for someone
Rev
Hope they're too stupid to simply turn and walk away (which would be just around the corner if you're trying to ambush)
And then kill like 1 bad player
And that's its best use?
Worst weapon in the game
Brass beast
+20% damage bonus
20% damage resistance when below 50% health and spun up
50% slower spin up time
-60% slower move speed while deployed
Rewards you with high damage and more resistence when you have the half part of your health but it punish you with slow mobility and slow revving
B tier
Wut. It's not even close to the worst weapon in the game. Not one of the best either but definitely useful in its niche.
You asked about the weapon and I, as someone who has a lot of experience using it, responded. And then you attack the response? Ok... Yeah, that loadout I described is effective for it. Unless you're revved up around a corner in some remote part of the map, people probably won't hear you. And if your ambush spots are good enough, you can wait unrevved. It works.
The buff lasts 30 seconds and can easily be replenished if your team is holding the frontline with you.
Otherwise you can pick a shotgun to retain some defensive capability while in movement, which is good considered you're a lot more vulnerable to flankers because of the increased rev speed.
The combined effects of the defensive buffs and the 20% damage increase means you're capable of chaining multiple kills from a single position without being taken down yourself.
The thing is that it takes a little more preplanning and awareness because you can't walk around aimlessly and wait until you encounter somene to spin.
You need to learn how to play the gun.
you can argue it has some use in mvm
I'd strongly recommend keeping a shotgun/panic attack/Family Business or some other secondary defense weapon for mobility. That way you can retreat or advance and still be able to kill other enemies or defend yourself. And don't scoff at your 300 health + fat MEATSHOTS. You're a beast even without the brass baby.
You'll have experiences where the damage resistance saves your life, or you shred some extra kills with the damage boost; and the shotgun lets you get around and pump out ~90 damage meatshots if anyone tries to dive you while you ain't spun up. Its a fun playstyle!
